General Info Sambadrome

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SAMBODROME RIO DE JANEIRO

Sambadrome is divided into 13 sectors. The ticket price for each sector depends on the position and view of the Avenue. The odd-numbered sectors are on one side and the even-numbered sectors are on the other. The numbers increase towards the end of the Avenue. The odd-numbered side does not connect with the even-numbered side.

All sectors consist of grandstands, frisas and VIP camarote boxes. Frisas are located in front of the grandstands, with row A, closest to the parade track of the Sambadrome. VIP boxes are located in various sectors. Foreign tourists can buy tickets for any sector of the Sambadrome.

How to get to the Sambadrome

UBER – Uber is not authorized to enter the area surrounding the Sambadrome, as the area is blocked off only for authorized vehicles.
We do not recommend taking UBER as it will leave you far from the main entrances to the Sambadrome.

Subway
MetrôRio operates 24 hours a day throughout Rio Carnival. MetrôRio has a special 24-hour, non-stop operation schedule to make it easier for revelers to get around when they go to the Carnival blocks or watch the parades at Passarela do Samba, at Sambadrome. It is fast, but crowded during Carnival days. Anyhow, it is the best option to get you closer to the Sambadrome quickly, safely and cheaply.
